Monday’s Masterpiece – city slicker

Happy Monday loves, how was le weekend?  For today’s Masterpiece I thought designer Catherine Kwong would fit the bill nicely.  To be more precise, I saw this space she designed for the San Francisco Decorator Showcase and my peepers actually almost popped out of my head.

It is no secret that a bit of bling is always on the cards around these parts, and this diviiiine gilded ceiling, not to mention the intricate gilt mirror / contemporary brass armchair frame, has me all in a tizzy:

YUM!

I love the way she effortlessly mixes finishes, especially this elaborate (Ochre??) pendant with the rough reclaimed wood of the coffee table below right:

YEEEES to the exposed brick!

And those brass table legs have my heart a-pitterpattering like nobody’s business:

The room with the exposed brick and Eames lounger looks like a wonderful place to kick back with a cup of tea and a good book!

Amazing mix of interesting and artfully chosen pieces, I particularly love the very last bedroom photo, its elegant and also homely. The lounge area is pretty amazing too. Great share Elly! Thank you for sharing your Cannes fashion insight with me. Wishing you have great week ahead!
