Roof deck conundrums – part 2

Morning peeps!  Thanks for the comments yesterday, glad you’re liking the Moroccan option.  So today I wanted to show you what I’m blathering on about re Balinese terraces, but have only been able to find a few good piccies.

It’s kinda tricky to describe exactly what I mean by ‘Balinese style’ for a terrace so I thought the best way to explain is to create one…

So please cast your votes!  Do you prefer the colourful Moroccan shindig or the peaceful Balinese bale…?  I think I’m leaning towards the latter, hmm.  Although I might lose the blue cushion…yikes, I don’t know what’s happened to me lately, I used to be ALL about the colour.

That is a magnificent frame to the sofa in your final pic… Love the wood against the greenery. Balinese gets my vote!

  2. trishie says:

Peaceful balinese style I think. The morrocan theme is fun but not something I can look at day after day.

  3. I understand what you mean about the colors, I myself still love them, but I think a little bit of color is harmless. A colleague of mine told me a couple of years ago when she was decorating her apartment that colors gets her tired and borred, so she went for the white house with pastels. I did not listen to her advice and badly wanted a red kitchen ;) and red couch and colorful cushions. I am not tired, but the rest of the furniture is black. About Maroccan vs. Balinese, Elly, I can not decide, really, Balinese style is great with a lot of green and that great “fence”, but I would like some crazy color flowers on my terrace :) ))) Sorry for not being so helpful :P

The third one with the pink and purple cushions is so inviting. This is quite difficult to choose…I had to go back to the previous post to compare…I am thinking Moroccan, I preferred the colours, warmth and vibrance of it.

these selections are all beautiful, so it’s quite difficult to decide. personally, i love colur, but you should go with whatever suit your taste and style best. xx

This is lovely, looks very relaxing and beautiful but I love some color so I think Moroxxan gets my vote.=)

  7. I adore the Balinese version. The beautiful simple’ish carved wood and airy white and cream linens, cottons and silks and a few white candles and green plants here and there just feel so right and look like heaven. x

  8. Swoon! I love both aesthetics so much, but I think that my heart belongs to the Moroccan brights. There’s just something about Moroccan anything that makes me feel instantly cheerful. :)

  9. I went back and looked at your previous post, and if I have to pick between the two I’d have to go with the Balinese look. If I ever have a rooftop terrace I think that’s what I would do.

  10. Ooooh this is SO HARD. (#firstworldproblems) I love them both and you’ve showed them off so gorgeously that I can’t decide. I’m leaning towards Morroccan however because I love a colourful garden and seeing all kinds of bright beautiful colours playing off flowers – oooh yeah. That would make me smile. But saying that, a serene escape with lots of naturals and green… heavenly. See? I’m totally no help. Soz baby.
