Design classic (4) – Louis Ghost chair

Happy Friday peeps, nearly made it to the end of the week!

Today I thought I’d take a look at another classic designer piece, the Louis Ghost Chair.

Designed by Philippe Starcke for Kartell in 2002, its form is based on the Louis XV chairs of the Rococo period, and is available in 8 different shades: 6 transparents and 2 solids.

I’m going to focus on the clear transparent ones today as, um, I just don’t like the others.  And I’m the boss around here.

I’m actually amazed at how easily they fit into a more traditional scheme and give it a bit of an edge – think those are my fave design.

Or how about one of these beauts?!

GORGEOUS!

Ha ha I hate the other colours too. And sorry, they look just wrong with cushions on. They always make me think of Graham and Green. The most surprising thing about them is how comfortable they are.
