Bonkers in Bali

Morning morning peeps!  So last night Ali and I started planning le honeymoon – I know, leaving it a smidge late hey?!  We’ve decided to spend 6 weeks in Nepal and Indonesia before starting the old job hunting in Honkers – Kathmandu to Komodo – and are VERY VERY EXCITED about it!  Haven’t been on a long travelling trip in forever.

I realised last night that we look for very different things when planning a trip: Ali was immediately all over the 7 day white water rafting trips and Himalaya hikes, and I jumped straight onto the Mr and Mrs Smith website, looking for fancy hotels.  Ha, that’s quite funny actually.  I’m still down with slumming it in $5 hostels, but have to say I do like a little bit of luxe these days, think I’m getting a bit soft in my old age.

Anyway, while I was on said hotel-oogling-binge, I came across the gorgeous Alila Villas Uluwatu Hotel in Bali and my eyes pretty much popped straight out of my head.  They’ve got the modern minimalist yet all natural look down to a T, and although the hotel is WAY over budget I’m determined to plot up a way to stay there.  Watch this space!

And in the meantime, feast your peepers.

Errrrr, yes please:

Bonkers, non?

Wowzers that really is amazing! Better than a youth hostel that’s for sure. And Nepal! Unusual choice, what a fascinating place. Can’t wait to see the photos x
