Le Blush – part 1

So you know how the pages of this blog usually look like I’ve tipped open my colouring pencils pouch and scribbled all over my computer screen with fuchsia pinks and bright aquas galore, well I have to admit I’ve been having a bit of a pastels moment recently.  I know, right?!  Blush pink and soft apricot are not usually my thing at all – I guess it’s all the dreamy wedding photos I’ve been gawping at for the last 6 months…

Anyway, I thought today I’d put together some of my current fave blush inspiration piccies – whether you use the colour as only a tiny accent or as a BIG MAMA focal point, I have to say I’ve fallen rather in love.

Love the idea of combining a soft blush headboard with loads of dreamy White Company throws and pillows – heaven in a kingsize!

Ok ok, this first one may be more lavender, but check out that headboard…

Or how about you totally blow my mind with a bonkers chandie too?!

Err, ditto this one:

Think this is the bouquet I’m going to attempt to reproduce myself – wish me luck please…

And I’ve totally fallen head over heels for this cute suitcase/shabby chic frame vignette:

So what do you think??  Too wimpy, or just up your street?

I completely agree with you, pastels are fab and I’ve found myself pinning some pastel inspired accessories and interiors lately. I think partly because spring is coming in the UK and because we have seen a lot of bold, strong colours over the last year or two, it’s refreshing to see an alternative. It’s like an trendy update to the popular all-white interiors we saw in the last decade.

I don’t tend to go for pastels either, but our house can get dark so I have a pink wall in my living room and we love it! It was one of the best things we’ve done. These pictures make me want to do more!

I like it but I find it hard to imagine that a man lives in any of these houses! Ice cream colours are it this year for clothes apparently so no wonder interiors are following suit.

More worrying is I keep seeing peach walls everywhere and liking them. A week ago I thought peach walls where the most ghastly thing ever and now I’ve started thinking they’re quite nice….it’s only one step removed from blush!

Haha, ooh you’d better watch yourself Annie… Ha, I quite often find myself really surprised about liking something – guess that’s the whole point of le blog!

Interesting about the ice cream colours too – I wonder if mint green and pastel yellows will start making an appearance…
