Monday’s Masterpiece – nordic quirks

Morning peeps!  How was everyone’s weekends?  We had a great one – lots of sunshine and festive parties before heading back to Blighty this Wednesday, can’t wait to come home!!

I’ve been on a bit of a Scandinavian interiors kick for a while now – don’t seem to be able to get enough of the white painted floorboards and airy open spaces – and I thought for today’s masterpiece we’d take a tour of the home of Swedish interior designer Marie Olsson Nylander.  She doesn’t seem to have a website frustratingly, so I can’t find more images to oogle – has anyone ever come across one?

Anyway, the family home exudes the perfect level of quirkiness and whimsy, all balanced out by acres of white walls and floors.  What do you think??

And she also has the knack for putting together gorgeous vignettes:

I love the oversized accessories. That green planter is enormous! And that lamp at the side of the sofa.

I just find all the white cold. Not my favourite thing at all. Sorry! It’s an amazing building though and that wonderful spiral staircase!

Tell me about it! There’s something about the vintage leather against the sleek white floor that gets me every time I look at it – especially combined with the ethnic-looking cushions. Love it!

Oh man, I don’t know where to begin. I just love Nordic style. I want that coffee table with the wheel and I wouldn’t pass up those a-frame ceilings and views!
