Grotesque grey stingrays – the how to…

Ok so I thought I’d continue the grey theme today, in case anyone was inspired yesterday to:

a) come visit me here in Cayman and go swim with stingrays; or

b) redecorate your home in grey.

Can’t massively help with the first option (but would recommend it) but here’s my picks for the second!

Headboard and blankets – The White Company
Chandelier – West Elm
Coasters – Zara Home
Rug – Zara Home
Ottoman – West Elm
Sofa – West Elm
Bamboo frames – Zara Home
Lamp – West Elm

[Yes Photoshop, I’ve finally conquered you!]

Ahem, well sorry for the shorty today but we were up at 5.45am to go lobstering (it was the first day of the season today and Ali was a little over-excited about lobster for brekky) – my brain’s running a little slower than usual right now.

Have a fab day all, what are you up to today?

  1. Elly Hails says:

Hi Joan – that’s fantastic, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Lots of people get frightened but they’re so calm I find. We haven’t been out to Stingray City in a while, must get a boat trip booked up for there.

Glad you enjoy the blog, thank you!

  2. annie says:

Loveeee that bed! It looks all cosy and cocoon like.

You’re just asking us what we’ve been up to because you know none of us can say anything as glam at lobstering 🙁

    • Elly Hails says:

Haha, not true! Lobtering is most definitely not ‘glam’ – getting up pre-6am and wrestling with spiny smelly crustaceans is not the best way to start your day… They taste good though!

  3. Laura Terry says:

I really love these colours, very sophisticated. I think I need that sofa and the chandelier one day!!!

First lobstering of the season sounds fantastic – Ali wrapping up a lobster snare last night now makes slightly more sense! xxx

    • Elly Hails says:

Haha, yeh that must have seemed a little random… It’s great, those spiny suckers are going down and into our fridge! I 100% agree re the chandie, that was my fave item – beautiful, huh?
