Hardware heaven

I’ve recently stumbled across a couple of fun options for hardware on my internet ramblings, and I thought I’d share ’em with you lovely lot.  Quite frankly, life is too short for boring doorknobs…

First up is Beardmore, located in the UK:

Or for a more playful look, Anthro doesn’t disappoint:

We brought a bunch of cabinet handles like these round ones back from Jaisalmer in India ages ago, I wonder what happened to them – must dig them out when I’m next home.

It’s all in the details people, all in the details…

  1. Ohh…love all of those!! Pretty knobs make such a difference. We have a really ugly piece of furniture that I’ve had for ages and I just recently switched out the knobs and voila…not gorgeous, but much, much better 🙂

I agree, it’s such an easy way to make a big change. They always have loads of fantastic DIY projects like that on Design*Sponge, have you ever seen them? Like re-painting old furniture and adding new hardware, or re-upholstering chairs. Love it!

Yeh, this is the perennial problem, huh?! I have the same issues… I think in our future home we’re going to need one boy-room where Ali can have all his masculine stuff, so that every time we get a flower door pull he can buy a…beer fridge or something, ha. I think that’s fair, one room in the entire house!
