Aladdin’s cave (floor of…)

I’ve been on a bit of a Persian rug kick for a while now.  I don’t seem to be able to get enough of these exotic accents, and love how they seem to be able to complement any scheme, be it contemporary or more traditional, colourful or monotone.

Here are some of the images that are inspiring me right now – what do you think?

Love the orange/indigo/lucite/gold combo here:

And the aqua/cherry here – and do you seeeee those floorboards?!

Love!

And they look fabulous in kitchens also – just add a non-slip backing and Bob’s your father’s brother:

Love the drama:

Crazy and colouful:

Or more subdued:

Gorgeous here with the terracotta tiles:

And here with polished parquet:

Use one to add definition to all-white spaces:

Or let it blend into the overall scheme:

I literally cannot imagine a better workspace!

And love the leopard accent here too:

And here are some tips for sourcing these on the cheapy – don’t say I’m not good to you!

The problem with such a wonderfully ordered work space Elly (indeed any work space) is that after one day of use by yourself, it would be a disaster zone!!
