Exposed to the elements

I have been having a love affair with all things exposed brick for a loooong time now, first prompted by this insane shot from Coastal Living:

Whether you play up the contrast using glam chandies and high end silks and cashmeres, or go down the rough and ready furnishings route with rustic tree stump stools and vintage farmhouse tables, the end result is guaranteed to make me go a smidgey smidge gaga.

Here are some beauts, which one’s your fave?

I was going to say all of them but actually that last one is my favourite. It’s really calm and subtly elegant and not too ‘look at me I’m a new york loft!’ completely loving that silk carpet. I love exposed brick and fingers crossed looking for it in our new flat!

Oooh, that’s exciting! You’re looking in Bermondsey, right? I have to say I never saw much brickwork in places in London sadly, but I bet around Butler’s Wharf/Bermondsey there are plenty more loft-style flats with exposed brick. Good luck hunting one down, looking forward to hearing about it!
