8. Best of hammocks (click for link)

Now let’s get onto the most Caribbean of outdoors furnishings: the plain and simple hammock.  Or at least you’d expect them to be simple, but please check out the wham-bam eye candy I’ve found below from Royal Botania…they each have a price tag of about $15k so won’t be on my shopping list ever but at least are nice to look at…!

Sweet Pea & Willow have a gorgeous au naturel take on the hammock + stand option:

Royal Botania pull out all the stops with these two beauts:

But until I manage to scrape together the extra $14,980 I’ll need to get my hands on one, I’ll make do with these cheap and cheerful chappies, from IKEA and Crate & Barrel respectively:

9. Best of dining tables (click for link)

Again, Crate & Barrel come up trumps with this solid yet interesting option:

Add a layer of stone to your space with Mecox Gardens…:

… or a certain je ne sais quoi with this exotic puppy from Red Egg:

And for your cheap and cheerful, IKEA strikes again (what would the world do without IKEA I wonder…):

10. Best of upholstered lovelies

Now I guess this isn’t really a true ‘best of’ as I’m only covering the Lee Industries outdoors collection here, but I came across one of their adverts in the new issue of Lonny magazine last night and thought their upholstered outdoors range deserved a mention…check out these beauts!

11. Best of (affordable) lighting

Now I have to admit, aside from all things wicker and rattan, this is the area of outdoors interior design (‘exterior design’?!) that gets me the most excitable and hyperactive.   I. just. love. lanterns.  Also, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s just no point in splurging on fancypants outdoor lighting when there are so many gorgeous cheapo options.

Oh my goodness, I’ve died and gone to lantern heaven – check out Pottery Barn’s crazy huge collection of super-affordable lighting options (SALE SALE SALE!):

The White Company are also rocking my world:

And head to the Indian Garden Company to add some colour to your life:

12. Best of parasols

Last but not least, let’s check out some stylish ways of stopping those dastardly UV rays getting to you.

Pottery Barn have a large collection of traditional options:

And as well has excelling in the lantern stakes, the Indian Garden Company have some pretty smashing parasols:

Lastly, for an edgy contemporary feel, head to Design Within Reach…:

…or Umbrosa, via Shadescapes Americas:
