Wicker porn [A.K.A. Patio furnishings round up] – part 1

Ok ok, I guess I should at least pretend that this post is not simply me indulging one of my worst addictions: the wonderful world that is wicker and rattan.  Let’s call it a ‘patio furnishings round up’…

Seriously, I don’t care if it’s a basket, lantern, sofa or lampshade, if you show me wicker/rattan/general-reedy-lovelies I am going to dream about them.  I’ve been talking for a while about doing a post on the best patio furnishings out there and thought today I’d finally deliver the goods. There may be a slight emphasis on the aforementioned W-word but you’ll have to bear with me I’m afraid!

1. Best wicker goods (click for link)

I posted about the Paola Navone for Gervasoni range a while ago, and just can’t get this mini-sofa out of my brain:

Good old John Lewis:

Sweet Pea & Willow:

Cheap and cheerful wicker from IKEA:

2. Best of the French Bistro style (click for link)

Melody Maison always comes up trumps:

OKA has a few crackers:

Pottery Barn has these more solid chaps:

And the cheap and cheerful pick has to go to Smith & Hawken, via Target:

3. Best wooden lovelies (click for link)

West Elm is carrying this goooorgeous collection, and also has a 15% reduction right now, check ’em out!

Henry Hall Designs has this very stylish puppy (which is also extremely pricey I believe…):

This oh so dreamy lounge chair is from Holly Hunt:

And for the cheap and cheerful chappies, head to Crate & Barrel:

Or to Smith & Hawkin, via Target (LOVE this collection!):

4. Best daybeds (click for link)

Now this was a tricky one to put together as I am ever so slightly obsessed with these badboys and wanted to include about 22…

The pole position has to go to the jaw-droppingly stunning collection at Restoration Hardware (who also have price reductions on right now, go get shopping!)

Next up is the fantastic Dedon:

Mecox Gardens has this quirky rattan specimen (pretty similar to Celerie Kemble’s version actually…):

O’Brien Ironworks has this sculptural beauty:

And head to the Cane Furniture Store for some cheap and cheerful finds:

5. Best of the colourful chappies (click for link)

If you’re hankering after some colour in your outdoors space, these should do the trick…

First up, this fun armchair…:

…and picnic set, both from Habitat:

Anthro doesn’t disappoint with these fun chic chairs:

French Bistro Furniture have a crazy array of colours to choose from, I’m loving this lime hue:

And lastly, head to IKEA for a cheap and cheerful dose of colour:

Make sure you stop by tomorrow for 6 more ‘best of’s’ in part 2!

Hey – I agree, they have some drop-dead GORGEOUS collections, don’t they?

Nope, not on twitter, my head starts hurting when people talk about anything remotely technological, I’m amazed I’ve actually even managed to do this blog, ha! Maybe I’ll look into it though, I hear it’s all the rage these days (said in granny voice…).
