Poosher St Lucia

So after blogging yesterday about a bunch of incredibly gorgeous hotels around the world, I found myself repeatedly returning to one in particular.  Let’s shimmy on back to St Lucia today as I have been DYING to go there forever (although I feel a bit spoilt and like a bit of a plonker saying that when I already live on an island in the Caribbean, but it’s different, I tell you…).
Now I really love the Caribbean (obviously) but when I go on hols I don’t just want to lie on a beach  – don’t get me wrong, I can play lizard like the best of ‘em, but I do need something else to do or else I just get a bit bored.  Enter St Lucia: rainforest to explore, pitons to climb up, as well as INCREDIBLE hotels (I need to get back onto skyauction.com I think – ooh, check this one out).
Unfortunately, the airline routes from this little island are pretty fantastically expensive and it actually costs more to fly there from here than London (ridic).  So I think it’s not on the cards for now, but I might holiday-fantasise for a little bit anyway!  Check out these beaut’s (and don’t you dare skip out the last one, just you wait and see):
Calabash Cove
I am seriously loving the use of dark wood and rattan.
Hello outdoor shower!

Ti Kaye Village

I LOVE gingerbread houses.  Two of our good friends here in Cayman have just moved into the most INCREDIBLE gingerbread/Caribbean style house on the most INCREDIBLE road (Boggy Sands Road = a.mazing) on the most INCREDIBLE beach on the entire island, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a smidge jalouse (see below!).  Check out this puppy:

There is most definitely room in my life for some hammock-time…

Ladera

How much fun do these swingy benches (technical term) look?!

Jalousie Plantation
I just about DIED when I saw this one – jalousie is a very appropriate name.  Seriously, I think it might even beat La Luna, which is seriously impressive.  Feast your eyeballs:

I must say I’m not usually one to go for all-white décor, but here it is simply amoozing.

Yep, I can pretty much see myself chilling out here with a nice rum punch - although I maybe wouldn’t be able to bring myself to leave the incredible villa, hmm tricky make-believe dilemma.
They have a ‘rummelier’ – I’m not kidding…

 …and one incredible-looking spa:

*Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

God those views are amazing! so green, I want to go now! and what the hell is a rummelier?!

Yeh, crazy hey?! I could do with some greenery, everything here is scorching right now…

A rummelier is a rum-sommelier – sounds kinda crazy but there’s such a huge range of rums over here it does actually make sense. Let me know where you pick to stay if you head over there!

I'd love to hear from you!
