Flowers Friday – bougainvillea beauties

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!  I thought I would devote this week’s FF to one of the most Caribbean of flowers: the gorgeous bougainvillea.  We came across this plant first here in Cayman down in the South Sound area where there are just banks and banks of it in all varieties – pink, white, orange, red, purple.
Bougainvillea facts: they are native to South America, and can grow up to 12 metres tall (wow).  They are also the official flower of Grenada (aha, which explains why they were EVERYWHERE).
Ok, I have a busy busy day ahead of me so I’m going to cut FF short today.  Here are some pics, have a fab weekend and see you Monday!
